This book details my experiences during that walk and my unique perspectives about life, and nature, and society while I was detached from the constraints of modern living. I had planned the walk for years before I actually began it, but overuse had caused my left foot to become sore with plantar fasciitis, a straining of the ligaments that made it difficult to walk more than five miles without soreness. I finally tried an orthodic arch support called Walkfit that I had seen on an infomercial, which literally cured me within two weeks. I gratefully called the the company to thank them and they said to call them again after I had completed the walk. I did, they were impressed, and yes, Im the guy in their new infomercial... But that is not what the book is about, rather I hope my readers can benefit as I did from living sincerely, keeping ones faith in oneself, and cherishing the kindness of strangers. During the walk all those things became, and remain today, as lifesaving as water.
